Amiibo helped Nintendo to its best year yet with the Wii U last year, and the company announced as part of an investor meeting today that it has shipped 5.7 million of their NFC-enabled figures worldwide.

The image below is the top 10 rankings for amiibo in Japan, the U.S. and Canada, Europe and Australia. Link, Mario and Pikachu make it into the top 5 in all four territories with Link taking the top spot everywhere but Australia. According to¬†Engadget, Nintendo has plans to use amiibo figures to unlock playable NES and SNES ‘vignettes.’ Throwing the text from the meeting at Google Translate says that there will be a time limit and it suggests that the same amiibo may not unlock the same thing for everyone.

In the United States, the top 10 amiibo are as follows:

  1. Link
  2. Mario
  3. Pikachu
  4. Kirby
  5. Samus
  6. Yoshi
  7. Zelda
  8. Donkey Kong
  9. Peach
  10. Luigi
