HTC will almost certainly introduce the HTC One M9 during its Mobile World Congress press conference on March 1. We’re hoping it also introduces a wearable and maybe some other new tech, but we’re starting to learn a little more about how it might brand its new smartphone. Code discovered in a cached version of the HTC website refers to the device by name several times.

In several lines of code, we’re presented with the name HTC One M9, which suggests that’s the final moniker the firm will use for the device and follows in the footsteps of the naming used for the One (M7) and One (M8) that preceded the smartphone. One URL suggests the phone will eventually exist at the following URL in one market: “www.htc.com/nl/smartphones/htc-one-m9.” There’s also a mention of “One Life” which might be used to market the phone in addition to HTC’s other products, perhaps even the aforementioned wearable that could include “One” in its naming.

Several sites have also noticed that HTC may refer to the device as the One M9 instead of using parenthesis as it has with earlier models, like the One (M7) and One (M8). That seems like a relatively minor change, but it could clear up confusion in regards to which models are newer moving forward. We’ll know the full story on March 1, but you can check the source link to examine HTC’s website code for yourself right now.
