Apple just released iOS 8.3 beta 1 to developers in a relatively surprising move. The company just seeded iOS 8.2 beta 5 last week. We know that iOS 8.2 is focused on Apple WatchKit and adding support for the Apple Watch, which is due out in April, but we’re not quite sure what’s in this new update. It was first spotted by 9to5Mac and we hope to learn more about what’s included soon. When we do, we’ll be back to update this post.

Update: We’re back, as promised. According to MacRumors, iOS 8.3 includes a new version of iCloud Photo that no longer carries the “beta” tag, which suggests it may be final when Apple releases this update to consumers. It also appears to enable wireless functionality for Apple CarPlay, meaning a Lightning cable may no longer be required.
