Xenoblade Chronicles for New 3DS gets April Release Date, More Details

by Joey Davidson | February 6, 2015February 6, 2015 9:33 am PDT

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is officially coming to the New Nintendo 3DS XL on April 10th, 2015. The news comes directly from Nintendo as they released a new trailer and a few interesting tweets.

You’ll find the trailer at the head of this post. Remember, this game will only work on the New Nintendo 3DS XL units. If you own a current 3DS or 3DS XL, you will not be able to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. We’ll see exactly how confusing the “New” name will be in the States ones this game comes out and people start looking for it in their shops.

As for the extra details? First, Nintendo brings news of an interesting StreetPass functionality.

Second, you’ll be able to earn tokens by using the Shulk amiibo.

Are you looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles 3D? I know I’ll be snapping it up in anticipation of the follow-up title on the Wii U. In case you missed it, Nintendo did a 24 minute show specifically about Xenoblade Chronicles X earlier this morning.
