HTC is already expected to unveil two new smartphones early next month, and it turns out a third device could be in the works as well. The company’s Desire lineup may be getting a refresh, popular Twitter tipster @upleaks reports.
In a separate post, @upleaks also offers a list of potential specs for the new Desire phone, currently codenamed A55. The device will allegedly pack a 5.5-inch WQHD display, an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek processor, 3GB of RAM, at least 32GB of storage, a 20-megapixel rear camera, and either a 13-megapixel or 4-UltraPixel front camera. The battery could fall on the small side at under 3000mAh, suggesting HTC is serving up a super-slim plastic handset with the A55.
The company’s Desire phones are typically more affordable, and hopefully that will be the case with the rumored A55 as well. HTC may reveal the new smartphone at its next event on March 1, where it’s also expected to unveil the One (M9) lineup and its first wearable device.
