Apple is reportedly working to expand its footprint in the Big Apple, with plans to open up a new Apple Store location in the borough of Queens, New York, according to a report from 9to5Mac. The news outlet said that two additional stores, one planned for Manhattan and another for Brooklyn, are running behind schedule.
The Queens location will reportedly exist at the Queens Center Mall. While it may seem that the several other outlets already in New York City would hinder sales potential, 9to5Mac said Apple believes it may be one of its more successful stores in the state and that sales may even “beat out some of its flagship counterparts.”
Apple hasn’t confirmed details on the Queens location and a solid date has not yet been provided. It’s assumed that the store won’t open until later this year.
