If any game needs a beta test before it heads out of the gate, it’s a new Battlefield game. The series hasn’t had the best reputation over the last few years for being in working order when each game launches, and EA and DICE are doing everything they can to make sure that this latest games works.
It’s already seen a hefty delay, and now on the eve of its final release, a brand new open-beta multiplayer test is scheduled to occur next week. The test will run from Feb. 3 to Feb. 8, and it will be available on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
The beta test will include three maps, various tools and cars, and several modes of gameplay. All are detailed in a high octane trailer released by EA to accompany the announcement.
Battlefield Hardline will be released for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 17. This is probably the last chance to make sure the game is up and running, so be sure to give EA your support if you want to add as much data as possible.
