The upcoming Galaxy S6 is expected to come in two different variants, a standard flagship model and one with two curved edges. Now, we may finally have confirmation on that second rumored model thanks to a small slip up from Vodafone Netherlands.
The Dutch carrier recently set up a placeholder webpage for the Galaxy S6 promising more information on the new phone soon. What’s really interesting though, is a line of code spotted by Galaxy Club NL, which lists pre-orders for both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge. That’s not exactly the name we were expecting for the rumored handset, though it actually makes a lot more sense, especially if the company hopes to turn the Edge brand into a popular new series in its own right.
Unfortunately, Vodafone doesn’t offer any more info on the upcoming smartphones, though we already have a pretty good idea what to expect. Based on previous leaks, the Galaxy S6 should come equipped with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, a 20-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, 4GB of RAM and Samsung’s home-grown Exynos 7420 chip.
The Galaxy S Edge will likely offer the same list of specs, though it’s possible the curved glass display could be slightly smaller than the regular flat one. Samsung is also rumored to announce a new Tizen-powered smartwatch with a round display and a rotating bezel at the Mobile World Congress event this March.
