Interested in following folks from around the world on Twitter? Unsure of what they’re saying when they post in their native tongue? Fear not – Twitter just rolled out a new translation feature that’s powered by Bing and will translate messages for you in real time.

You can turn on the function in settings and choosing to activate “show Tweet translations.” Once it’s activated, you should be able to quickly view the translated text right in your timeline. Twitter said that the Bing engine currently supports more than 40 languages.

The option is available now in the native Twitter apps for Android and iOS, in addition to Tweetdeck and on Twitter’s homepage.
