LG G3 owners on Friday were assured that Android 5.0 Lollipop will hit the device soon.
“COMING SOON,” the photo says. “Life with your LG G3 is about to get sweeter.”
Saying “coming soon” is truly the most ambiguous and infuriating way to tease something. Soon can be next week, or it can loosely be interpreted as a few months from now. There’s so much wiggle room here for LG to work with, and it doesn’t appear the company is willing to commit to an exact date just yet.
That said, we don’t imagine it’ll be too long until Lollipop hits the device. With the software already running on the G Flex 2, users will essentially get the same experience, which hopefully means we’ll see it sooner rather than later.
So… soon. Not sure when, but soon. I’m sure a date will be revealed by LG… soon.
Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been out since Nov. 3, but so far its presence in the mobile community is sparse (to say the least). We’ve seen it pop up on a few Motorola devices, but aside from a handful of phones, the adoption rate isn’t exactly setting the world ablaze; it’s not quite past the secret society of exclusivity. That’s a darn shame, too, because the newly minted OS is the best Google has ever put out. It’s something every Android user deserves to experience right now.
