I made a bit of an error yesterday saying that the 10 percent discount from Sony this weekend on the PlayStation Store didn’t seem to have any sales that you could compound on top of. It turns out that the PlayStation Store is holding two sales this weekend that just weren’t announced or advertised at the time of writing!
Fine by me, especially because one of the sales drops the price on a wheelbarrow full of Square Enix games.
All facets of Square Enix, too. Thief, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Hitman and Sleeping Dogs all are available at rock bottom prices of up to 80 percent off, and many of Square Enix classic JRPGs are also heavily slashed in price. Final Fantasy I through VI, Front Mission 3, Legend of Mana and The 3rd Birthday all find themselves reduced to a lunch money price.
Actually, the two Final Fantasy games I planned on buying this weekend, X|X-2 HD Remaster for Vita and Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions are not on sale. I’ll still pick them up of course, but I won’t say no to a $1.99 copy of The Legacy of Kain.
2K Games is also throwing a sale with its biggest titles being dropped. If you don’t yet own Spec Ops: The Line, BioShock, XCOM or Borderlands yet, I suggest you take advantage and do so because they are the cream of the crop from one of the best AAA publishers.
Surprise, surprise. Atlus also has most of its games available for cheap in yet another unannounced, unadvertised sale. Be sure to check the “All Deals” tab to see what it has available.
So yes, now that you can pile an extra 10 percent on top of one of these three sales, what are you going to pick up?
