Man, video game publishers must have some serious New Year’s hangovers from 2014, because they are all about that “hair of the dog.” Not wanting the “delay party” to stop, four games this week have had their release date shuffled, and the most recent of the bunch is Resident Evil Revelations 2.
Much like the other games, Capcom only shifted this release by a single week “in an effort to fine-tune the final product.” The release date has moved from Feb. 17 to Feb 24. Resident Evil Revelations 2 is also an episodic game with 4 chapters expected to be released once a week, meaning that it’s wrap up date will also change to March 17.
Developers are seriously starting to respond positively to the backlash of broken games. As mentioned before, Resident Evil Revelations 2 was the fourth game this week to see its date change following Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Grand Theft Auto V on the PC, and the DmC Devil May Cry Definitive Edition. Publishers, 2014 is over! Delays aren’t in fashion anymore, even if they are a necessity. Nobody wants the shellacking that Ubisoft and Microsoft got last year.
Anybody want to start a pool over game delays for the rest of 2015?
Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be released for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on Feb. 24.
