Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S6 and a new round-faced smartwatch at Mobile World Congress this March, but it looks like the company may be gearing up to release its latest barrage of tablets as well. SamMobile reports that the South Korean titan has several Android slates in the works for later this year.
Citing a handful of leaked model numbers, the Samsung-focused blog offers a look at the Galaxy-makers plans for 2015. That includes new entries in both the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab series, ranging from 7-inch and 8-inch tablets to larger 10.1-inch or even 12-inch models. Nothing’s expected to launch until either the spring or fall of 2014, with all new devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Here’s the full list of upcoming devices, with “AS” suggesting a small tablet and “AL” representing bigger ones. Also, based on earlier model numbers, the Galaxy Tab Plus models will likely be branded as Note tablets once they hit the market.

It’s no big surprise that Samsung has new tablets in the works. The company’s never shied away from that market, though a new strategy may be in order for 2015 and beyond. With tablet sales starting to stagnate and Samsung’s own mobile profits shrinking these devices will need to bring something new to the table if they hope to succeed.
