Grand Theft Auto V Delayed Until March, PC Specs Revealed

by Ron Duwell | January 13, 2015January 13, 2015 8:30 am PDT

Rockstar’s highly anticipated PC port of Grand Theft Auto V has been pushed back two months past its expected date. Originally scheduled to be released this month, the company has just confirmed that the game will now be releasing on March 24.

The news came through its official Rockstar Newswire, along with some PC specs, a gallery of new high-resolution screenshots, and an apology for the delay.

Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.

Fine, I have no problems with delays anymore. Take all the time you need, Rockstar. My backlog extends to Neptune and back, and I am in no rush to buy any new games. Making sure your game launches as smoothly as possible is an absolute must in 2015 to avoid a PR disaster, and I think many are going to follow in line with being careful. Way to set an example as an industry leader.
