Windows 10 is expected to help the firm create a “One Microsoft” software vision first introduced with Windows 8. That means a smartphone user interface that offers more unity with tablet iterations of the software, in addition to UI similarities to desktop versions. If you’re interested in trying out Windows 10 on your smartphone, you can head to the Windows Phone Store and download Microsoft’s Phone Insider app ahead of the Jan. 21 event. It only works for company employees at the moment, but it should open up later in the month once Redmond starts offering previews for its new mobile operating system.
