Bastion Sells 3 Million Copies, Transistor Sits at 600,000

Supergiant Games is sitting on two very comfortable indie hits these days. Both Bastion and Transistor have exceeded expectations and secured the company’s future for quite some time.

On its official webpage, Supergiant shared the sales figures of both of its beloved indie hits. Its more recent game Transistor, released on the PC and PlayStation 4, crossed an impressive 600,000 units in its first year, and I’m guessing it will cross into seven-digits before the end of 2015.

However, the smooth-talking game that it is best known for, Bastion, is looking even better with a whopping 3 million units in the bag. This game, which put Supergiant on the map back in 2011, is available for the Xbox 360, PC, iOS, and Android, and it is only looking to expand with incoming releases on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

Supergiant currently finds itself in “that relatively quiet period where we’re putting our heads together figuring out what’s next,” so no official games are in the works. However, the studio remains one of indie gaming’s best success stories, and we can’t wait to see what crazy adventure they take us on next.
