Apple is apparently working on a larger iPad. The rumors have been circulating for a long time now, and it makes sense for Apple to sell a larger iPad, at least if it wants consumers to have a reason to continue to buy new iPads — particularly when older ones hold up so well. The larger screen could allow for apps to run side-by-side, a feature that has been exposed inside iOS, and rumor has it the device will be called the iPad Pro.
A picture surfaced on Chinese social network Weibo recently and it allegedly, and we really mean it, shows an iPad Pro mold. In fact, the only reason it might be that is because it looks like a space that would be too large for an iPad Air mold, and because the post on Weibo labeled it as such. Is it really? We’ll leave that up for you to decide.
Again, it doesn’t seem too extreme to believe rumors that Apple is indeed creating a larger iPad. If so, then maybe Apple has already started production and maybe, just maybe, this is one of those molds. Thoughts?
