Everybody is giving away figures these days in their special collectors editions! Don’t they know we don’t have space in our closets and on our desks for all this nonsense? Even Nintendo is getting in on the action, jamming a Skull Kid figurine into the special edition of the upcoming Majora’s Mask remake.
The special edition will cost $50, a full $10 on top of the standard edition coming out at the same time. Judging by the image provided by Nintendo, it looks worth about just that. Just a few dollars shy of an amiibo!
At least Nintendo provided an image of its pack-in figurine, unlike the competition which launched a $249.99 collector’s edition of Halo 5: Guardians without even giving a glance at the figure inside. What, it’s just a $210 blind buy? What’s wrong with that?
I’ll definitely be snagging up the Majora’s Mask remake when it releases for the Nintendo 3DS, and I am really looking forward to it seeing as how its the only Zelda game I haven’t played. However, like the rest of my Nintendo 3DS collection, I’ll be picking it up digitally for the sake of keeping all my games on a nice and simple SD card.
No Skull Kid for me.
