Verizon may finally start selling the Nexus 6 next month, according to a new report from Phandroid. The news comes from an unnamed anonymous source, who says the carrier variant of Google’s flagship phone will launch in mid-February.
Of course, you can always buy the unlocked Nexus 6 for $649 and pop in a Verizon SIM card, but we’re guessing the carrier will offer the device for significantly less upfront with a two-year contract. It’s also worth noting that tracking down an unlocked Nexus 6 is still pretty difficult, even a few months after it first launched. Hopefully, Verizon will have plenty of devices in stock next month.
The Nexus 6 comes equipped with a massive 6-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3220mAh battery, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 3GB of RAM and either 32GB of 64GB of storage. It also runs pure Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, though it’s possible Verizon may slap some bloatware on top.
Of course, this is just a rumor for now, but hopefully Verizon makes an official announcement soon. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything else.
