Yesterday, Alcatel unveiled a new cross-platform smartwatch to help kick off CES 2015, and now the company is back with a an Android 5.0 Lollipop tablet. The Pop 10 offers 4G LTE support and mid-range specs at a budget-friendly price

Alcatel’s new tablet sports a 10-inch IPS display, which looks a bit pixelated, especially when showing bigger text. Under the hood it offers a quad-core chip, 8GB of storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. It’s 7.9mm thick (making it a little chunkier than the 6.1mm iPad Air 2) but weighs in at just 400 grams (compared to 437 grams for the newest Apple tablet). The company’s also developed a new keyboard which clips right onto the device via magnetic strip and doubles as a protective cover.

The Pop 10 comes in black and white variants. Alcatel One Touch hasn’t said exactly when it will be available or how much it will cost, but we’re guessing it will offer at a pretty competitive price compared to the iPad Air 2 or Google’s Nexus 9.

Alcatel also took the opportunity to unveil a new lineup of Pop 2 smartphones designed to “bring LTE to the masses.” All three devices also offer a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor and a sleek plastic design. The company plans to sell a 5-inch model with a 720p display, a 2500mAh battery, an 8-megapixel rear camera a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. There’s also a 4.5-inch Pop 2 with a 854 x 480-pixel display, a 5-megapixel main camera and a VGA shooter upfront, and finally, an even smaller 4-inch option with the same hardware as its slightly-bigger brother.

Again, there’s no official word on when these devices are launching or how much they’ll cost, though we’re definitely expecting to see budget-friendly pricing. Alcatel says its planning to sell the new phones straight to customers unlocked, though it hasn’t revealed those specifics just yet.
