Google to Announce “Cast for Audio” at CES 2015

We’re here at the LG press conference in Las Vegas where the firm just announced its new Music Flow speakers, which it will start selling this year. However, buried in that announcement was a note of support for “Google Cast for Audio.”

LG said Google will announce the technology during the show here, when we’ll learn more about it, but the general idea is that you’ll be able to cast audio to third-party speakers, such as the LG Music Flow set, instead of directly to a Google Chromecast.

Sounds neat, and we imagine we’ll hear a lot more about other partners soon.
