As a native Minnesotan, I was pretty embarrassed when someone from my state called the police over a setting change on his PlayStation 4. Not even two weeks later, though, I get a pleasant reminder that this kind of thing happens all over the place.
This week, a teenager in Palm Beach, Florida felt it necessary to call the local police about his PlayStation as well.
Not over a stolen system, not over a changed setting. He called because he wanted to know what was up with the outages of PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office tweeted the following excerpt from the call:
No we don't know when they will restore service to Xbox or Playstation. Please Dial 9-1-1 only for emergencies. pic.twitter.com/nQCeWEEFP1
