Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Might Release on February 24

by Eric Frederiksen | December 22, 2014December 22, 2014 9:30 am PST

It seems almost too close for comfort, but more and more sources are starting to show a February 24, 2015 release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the latest and presumably last title in the Metal Gear Solid series.

Microsoft isn’t the only one listing February 24 as the release date, either. Redditors have spotted the same release date on, and another photographed what is allegedly an image from the unspecified retail outlet where he works, where the game’s release date recently updated from a generic 12/31/2014 to the same specific date we’re seeing on Microsoft’s site.

Amazon still lists December 31, while GameStop is listing another generic date of March 31, 2015.

Series creator and director Hideo Kojima has the next Kojima Station video set to release on December 25, so if the release date is really just two months away, we’ll find out pretty soon.
