J-Stars Victory VS+ Leaves Japan in Summer 2015 on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

J-Stars Victory VS+, the next entry in the Shonen Jump brawler series, has been confirmed for a western release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in the summer of 2015.

Originally released in Japan without the “+” at the end of its name in March of last year, J-Stars Victory VS will make its western debut more than a full year after its initial launch. The game has been confirmed for the same release window in both Europe and the Americas.

I played way, way, way too much Jump Ultimate Stars and Jump Super Stars on my Nintendo DS during college. I had to import those games, but it was totally worth my time. Tangling with all of the heroes from the Shonen Jump world in a single game? Awesome.

Fight as Luffy from One Piece, Sasuke from Naruto, Goku from Dragon Ball and whatever the heck that dude’s name is from Bleach. That’s the whole point of this game; blending the universes of Shonen Jump together for a crazy battle-based storyline.

The fact that I don’t have to import the next entry? Outstanding. J-Stars Victory VS+ will reach western audiences on Sony’s platforms in the summer of next year. Stay tuned.
