I’m a huge fan of Google+ for backing up my photos, though I also dig it as a social network. Perhaps by coincidence, this weekend I was asking myself: when will Google finally update the Google+ app so that it looks appropriate on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus? My question was answered today, when Google finally released Google+ 4.8.0 for iOS.
The updated application looks much better on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, so it no longer looks like a stretched-out version of the app that was built for smaller screens on the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. Additionally, Google tossed in some new sharing features, allowing you to share from third party applications right to the social network. Google also said users can now vote in Google+ polls and that it improved performance and removed some bugs.
You should find the new Google+ app in the iTunes App Store now, and we’ve included a link to it in the source below.
