Sony Xperia Z3-3

Sony’s purported Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra could well be one of the biggest and most powerful Android-powered slates we’ve seen to date, according to leaked specifications. In addition to a super-sharp 13-inch display and more RAM than you could ever need in a mobile device, the device is also expected to have a giant battery, a 64-bit processor, and of course, PS4 Remote Play.

It’s always important to be wary of leaks like these, because often times when something sounds too good to be true, that usually ends up being the case. These specifications for the Xperia Z4 Tablet Ultra almost read like a fanboy’s dream rather than a genuine leak, but according to Chinese site PadNews, they’re the real deal.

The device is expected to have a 13-inch TRILUMINOS display (12.97 inches to be exact) with a 3840×2400-pixel resolution. That’s more pixels than the Retina MacBook Pro, and most other 4K laptops. The Xperia Z4 Ultra Tablet is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 2.86GHz, which could be accompanied by a whopping 6GB of RAM.

Internal storage is expected to be 64GB as standard, while the rear-facing camera is a trademark Exmor RS CMOS sensor with Carl Zeiss lens. Powering all of this is a massive 12,100mAh battery, which is to be packed into a slimline chassis that measures just 8.6mm thick.

Sounds pretty incredible, doesn’t it? Sony reportedly has an event planned for CES next month where the Japanese company is expected to unveil its latest Xperia Z4 smartphone, so we may well see the new tablet then as well. But in the meantime, try not to get your hopes up too much.
