Apple Pay is just a few months old, but Apple is already gearing up to expand its mobile payments service into new territory. The company recently expressed interest in bringing Apple Pay to China, but a job listing spotted this week seems to confirm rumored plans to launch in Europe.

The listing in question describes a position with the company’s London-based Apple Pay team, which would cover its efforts across the entire region. That includes working with launch partners, banks and merchants in Europe, as well as the Middle East, India and Africa. It seems Apple is starting from square one abroad after successfully launching Apple Pay in the U.S.

Additionally, Apple is looking for Reliability Engineers to improve Apple Pay’s customer experience and back-end system. The position is based in China, but seems to cover the entire global system as part of Apple’s “follow-the-sun team.” It’s unclear when Apple Pay actually plans to launch in China, where it will face off against stiff government regulations and already-entrenched competition.

For now, it looks like Apple is focused on pushing its mobile payment system into Europe, Africa, India and the Middle East, though the company’s still making moves to increase use here in the U.S.
