Street Fighter V’s First Live Match, Charlie Nash Returns in Teaser

More big news from Street Fighter V this weekend. The PlayStation 4 and PC exclusive fighting game made its first public appearance during the Capcom Cup Finals over the weekend with a classic bout between Ryu and Chun-Li going to town on one another.

During the bout, we get a look at the effects of Street Fighter V’s revenge meter, and how it can be used to pummel characters though the environment. Chun-Li also manages to land a bowl of noodles on her head, and it remains planted there throughout the fight. All in all, it’s a nice looking game, and I’ll probably check it out on a casual level just because it’s Street Fighter.

I don’t have the stomach anymore to go too in-depth with fighting games the way these announcers and professional players can, though.

Before the match, Producer Yoshinori Ono also showed up at the event dressed up as fan-favorite character Charlie Nash from the Street Fighter Alpha games. Guile’s mysterious best-pal has been absent from the series ever since, so this tease of this return from Ono, as well as a full blown teaser trailer, has been a long time in the making.

Street Fighter V will release for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
