Microsoft’s New MSN Apps Hit iOS and Android

Microsoft just released a ton of new apps for iOS, Android and Amazon devices. The company is now offering MSN-branded News, Sports, Money, Health & Fitness, and Food & Drink apps after redesigning the MSN website earlier this year.

The new MSN apps offer pretty much what you’d expect, though they should make it easy to sync information across multiple devices and platforms. That could be particularly useful for MSN Health & Fitness, which lets you track exercise and diet while offering health-related news and workout videos. Meanwhile, the Food & Drink app includes the option to save your favorite recipes or add ingredients you need to an online shopping list.

There’s also a MSN Weather app, which is available now for Android and Amazon devices. Microsoft says an iOS version is coming soon, though it could take a few months to launch.

Today’s news fits in well with Microsoft’s current strategy of getting its apps and services on as many devices as possible, whether it’s a Windows or Windows Phone device or not.
