Well, I’ve got to give kudos where they’re due. In this case, the kudos are due to the GameXplain team. They’ve gone over the brief look we had at Zelda for Wii U at the Game Awards last week. You know, that five minute-ish video with Miyamoto and Aonuma talking while playing?
That video has been pushed out on all sides by GameXplain, and what results is an exhaustive investigation of what little Nintendo actually offered. If you’re chomping at the bit for a new Zelda on the Wii U, you’ll want to watch.
The biggest note the team makes, of course, is the size of the game’s actual world. They take time to slave over the size of the map, especially when Miyamoto and Aonuma zoom in and out of the map. They figure that, roughly, the size of the game is actually 16 times what we see in the debut video.
The whole thing is pretty intense, and you’ll certainly glean a whole lot of information from the video. Enjoy it, and then tell us what you’re most excited to experience in the upcoming The Legend of Zelda for Wii U. The game is slated for a 2015 release.
