New Trailer for ‘Inside Out’ Is Better Than Most Full-Length Movies

A second trailer for Pixar’s Inside Out has been released, and I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard all year (Big Hero 6 notwithstanding). In a short two minute span, the trailer perfectly sums up what the movie is about, humorously giving us a glimpse at the voices inside our heads. It’s funny how each emotion reacts to what’s taking place, and even funnier how they react to each other while “controlling” us humans.

The trailer takes place over a single scene, and in typical Pixar fashion, it manages to elicit more emotion and humor than entire movies.

“Sir, reporting high levels of sass.”

The movie focuses on 11-year-old Riley as her five emotions, Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith), help her adjust to a new living situation in San Francisco. As you can see, it’s not going well, which creates chaos inside Riley’s head as her emotions debate over how best to proceed. Anger, as anger does, always goes on the offensive.

Hopefully we can all keep your emotions in check long enough to see Inside Out when it hits theaters on June 19, 2015.
