YouTube for Apple TV Gets Brand New Design, Search Recommendations and More

YouTube on Tuesday announced a complete overhaul for its Apple TV client, which now features a cleaner user interface, new features and more. Apple TV owners should already see the new application, but let’s go over what you can expect to find now.

First, you’ll notice a new top menu with options to search for content, view your subscriptions, check recommendations, tweak settings and access your account. There’s also a new predictive search option, which completes the search results as you type, alleviating any need to fully type out what it is that you’re looking for. Once you’ve landed on a specific page, you can also choose to subscribe to that content or view a trailer of videos that you can expect from the content provider.

Google promises that you should see the “full YouTube experience” now through Apple TV, and you can see what sorts of other features are included in the update in YouTube’s teaser video above.
