The Street Fighter V trailer above – assuming it hasn’t been removed – was briefly posted by Capcom and then removed. But not, of course, before the internet could mirror it somewhere else.
The trailer doesn’t show anything in the way of gameplay, instead capitalizing on Street Fighter’s lively community for imagery to pair with some inspiring words about overcoming limits.
The biggest surprise, assuming this rumor is legitimate, is that Street Fighter V is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 and PC, apparently skipping over Xbox. With Dead Rising 3 having been an Xbox One launch title, it seems like Capcom is, rather than trying to develop all their games as multiplatform, picking and choosing which games hit which systems.
As to whether this trailer is legitimate, Game Informer notes that Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono is in Las Vegas for the PlayStation Experience this weekend. Between the PlayStation Experience and the Game Awards tonight, it would be a surprise if we didn’t see a pile of announcements over the next few days. It looks like this one was just the victim of an early switch-flipping.
