Brits can finally pre-order Oppo’s flagship Find 7 smartphone through Amazon.co.uk. Both black and white models are available with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, and prices start at just £319 (approx. $500). That’s not bad for a phone with specifications like these.
The Find 7 looks a lot like the immensely popular OnePlus One — and it’s very similar on the inside, too. The entry-level 16GB model has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, and 2GB of RAM. When you buy the 32GB model for £379 (approx. $594), however, you don’t just get more storage.
You also get a sharper Quad HD (2560×1440) display with an incredible 538 pixels-per-inch, a faster Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, and an additional 1GB of RAM delivering a total of 3GB. That’s a pretty impressive upgrade for just £60.
Both devices have 13-megapixel rear-facing cameras, microSD card slots, and 4G connectivity. They ship with Android 4.4 KitKat that’s skinned with Oppo’s own ColorOS user interface, and they boast an excellent rapid charging feature that promises to charge your battery from 0% to 75% in just 30 minutes.
While Oppo may not be a big name here in the West, its Find 7 smartphone can definitely compete with the best from manufacturers like Samsung, HTC, and LG. And with affordable price tags, they’re an excellent choice for those looking to get a super-capable smartphone off-contract.
Interested? You can pre-order your Find 7 from Amazon.co.uk today ahead of its release on December 17.
