Nexus 6 Will Be Available From O2 U.K. Today

Google Nexus 6-14

Google’s new Nexus 6 has expanded its availability in the U.K. today by making its debut on O2. To celebrate its arrival, the carrier is offering customers a limited-time deal that’ll get you unlimited texts and minutes and 2GB of data for £38 (approx. $60), with no upfront cost.

The Nexus 6 has been available in the U.K. for several weeks now, but only through carriers and third-party retailers like Carphone Warehouse; fans are still unable to buy the device directly from Google, with its Play Store listing still stating “out of inventory.”

But its staggered launch means that not every carrier has gotten it at the same time. Fortunately for O2 customers, their wait is almost over — the Nexus 6 can be had on an O2 Refresh plan later today, and until December 18, you can get it for £38 a month with no upfront cost.

Like most other carriers, O2 is only offering the 32GB Midnight Blue model initially, so those looking for a 64GB unit will have to wait. And if you want a white model, you’ll have to get that from Carphone Warehouse, which currently has exclusivity on that color option.

O2 says Nexus 6 orders will be delivered the day after they are ordered, but if demand is as strong as we anticipate it will be, then shipping times could slip very quickly. If you want to be sure you get yours before Christmas, then, you may want to claim it as soon as you can.
