Here’s What Android Lollipop Will Look Like Running on the Note 4

Samsung hasn’t said when Android 5.0 Lollipop will hit its Galaxy Note 4, but that hasn’t stopped SamMobile from demonstrating the update on video. As expected, the Material Design influence is evident, though Samsung certainly doesn’t shy away from slathering Google’s latest mobile OS in its TouchWiz skin. While we’d much prefer a stock look, seeing Lollipop running on Samsung’s best device still doesn’t look half bad.

SamMobile carefully goes through some major parts of the UI, including settings, app drawer, notifications, and several apps. It’s clear that the experience is nowhere near finished, though it’s good to see Samsung hard at work on the update. Lollipop is easily the best version of Android, and it’ll be awesome to see it appear on more devices. As of now, only a handful of phones have received the update, though that number is only going to go up. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear distribution has had any effect on Google’s monthly numbers, but we’ll see if that changes in the coming weeks.

It’s worth noting that not all apps have received the Lollipop treatment, and TouchWiz is a bit finicky since the software is unfinished. That said, if you’re a Note 4 user, it’s worth checking the video out to see what you’re in for.
