Dog Sled Saga is an interesting and addictive little game. I know this because I’ve played a few versions of its in-development releases, and I worked on a feature interviewing the two developers behind the game.
Now that Dan FitzGerald and Lisa Bromiel’s work is driving towards its eventual full release, the team has announced that it will be on Steam Early Access in less than a week’s time. The trailer you see above announces the December 8th Early Access release date in style.
If you’re confused about what, exactly, Dog Sled Saga is, I encourage you to check out my story. The short version is that this racing game charges you with hiring sled dogs, feeding them in races with perfect tosses and taking care of their happiness in order to rise through the sledding ranks.
It sounds silly, sure; however, the combination of satisfying and simple gameplay with great aesthetic appeal and a strong soundtrack make it a game that I’ve gone back to several times over the last six months. It’s fun in a pure and simple way, and that might be why I like it so much.
We’ll have more on Dog Sled Saga as it comes. Anyone interested in what they’ve seen so far?
