LG G Flex 2 Release Rumored for January 2015

It’s been over a year since LG first unleashed the flexible, bendable, self-healing G Flex. Now, it looks like the company may be gearing up to launch a followup device this January at CES 2015.

The news comes from Android Authority, whose sources also claim to know a few specifics about the upcoming LG G Flex 2. The device should mark a “major upgrade” over last year’s model, potentially sporting a 1080p OLED display. The new phone could also be slightly smaller than the original 6-inch phablet, and may offer an improved version of that same self-healing coating.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard similar claims about the G Flex 2. Back in May, Evleaks claimed the device could launch in early 2015 with an incredible new feature that’s “even more unique.” We’re still not sure what LG has up its sleeve, but it looks like we may get an official answer in a little over a month from now.
