It’s been a while since Ubisoft produced one of their Toy Soldiers: War Chest videos, so I sort of assumed they were leaving the game on the back burner for the holiday push. Now that Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry are out, it seems the publisher is back at the process of marketing this much smaller title.
The clip above focuses on the campaign side of Toy Soldiers: War Chest. This odd tower defense, third person RTS title does actually have a campaign, though I’d imagine its story won’t exactly win any awards. That’s not really the point though, right?
Each hero comes with their own campaign and story. The storyline will allow players to upgrade and unlock new equipment and weaponry for their armies. According to the clip, this gives the game a more RPG-esque feel.
Toy Soldiers: War Chest is currently set for early 2015. The game will release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
