Skype for Android was recently updated with a pretty new awesome feature that allows you to continue your video chat more easily than ever before. Typically, when you’re on Skype for Android, you need to have the Skype application open in order to view the person you’re talking to over video chat.

With the new update, however, you can now view the person you’re chatting with picture-in-picture. That means you can carry on with your video chat while doing other things on your Android phone or tablet, like checking e-mail, browsing the Web and more. It’s a much more fully functional experience that’s akin to something you’d otherwise only find on a desktop computer.

Other features in the update include quicker loading chat conversations, support for receiving photos from Skype for iPhone, support for bold, italic and strikethrough in conversations and native support for Hindi. You should find the update in the Google Play Store now.
