OnePlus Opens Its First Retail Store

OnePlus unveiled its first physical store earlier this week in China, according to a report from local tech blog Zol. The store won’t officially open until Dec. 20, though the company is apparently already planning to expand with even more stores in the country.

The store will sell company’s one and only flagship phone, which has been met with critical praise. Visitors will also be able to purchase accessories such as headphones, cases and even a “limited edition” bamboo-backed model. Staff members will be on hand as well to walk customers through the OnePlus experience.

The report notes that OnePlus adopted a minimal design, and it looks like the company definitely took at least a little inspiration from Apple. The new store is full of white surfaces and long wooden tables with devices on display. There isn’t a Genius Bar equivalent, but the store does feature a “water bar” where shoppers can grab something to drink, for whatever that’s worth.

Unfortunately, it seems unlikely OnePlus will open a store outside of China anytime soon. In the meantime, the company does have some pretty sweet Black Friday deals to offer, and recently teamed up with Amazon in an exclusive deal bringing the OnePlus One to India.
