Destiny‘s first big expansion is just two weeks away. If you’re still playing Destiny or looking to get back into it, it’s time to decide whether or not you want to get hyped about The Dark Below.
This trailer, which (for better or worse) has more personality than the entirety of Destiny‘s story, shows us how The Dark Below expands on just about every aspect of Destiny. The player narrating the video is a character known as DrCrispy93, a Bungie-created character already sporting expansion gear that exceeds the current level cap.
New weapons, armor and gear will give you something new to look at when you hit the dance button, to start with. The level cap has been raised to 32 to give you a good reason to pick up that new gear. On the mission side of things, there’s a new cooperative strike, a new six-player raid, and three new crucible arenas.
There are also new story missions to check out. Remember that huge pit on the Moon (presumably where wizards come from) that you definitely rode into on purpose? That’s the Dark Below, and that’s where you’ll be going. In the game’s primary hub, the Tower, you’ll find a new merchant named Eris. In addition to peddling some new gear for you, she’ll have new quests and three new story missions.
The Dark Below releases December 9 for $20 across all platforms.
