The Nexus 9 is a pretty sweet Android tablet, but at $399 it’s not exactly an impulse purchase. Thankfully, Best Buy has a new deal that should help make that price a bit more manageable, though you’ll have to trade in a old tablet to take advantage of this offer.
Bring a working tablet to Best Buy anytime between now and Nov. 29 and you’ll receive $100 off the Nexus 9 in the form of one $50 discount coupon and one $50 gift card. Best Buy notes that a cracked screen or water damage will disqualify you, though the company will still recycle your device for free. It’s also worth noting that Nooks and other e-readers don’t count as tablets in this situation.
If you have a working tablet on hand and you’re considering this deal, here’s what the Nexus 9 has to offer: Google’s latest stock Android tablet packs an 8.9-inch 2048 x 1536-pixel display, a Tegra K1 processor, a 6700mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of non-expandable storage, and runs pure Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It’s a great device, and a great way to see what the newest version of Android has to offer, though the design isn’t quite as premium as we might have hoped.
