BioShock Developer Irrational Games Hiring Again

Nine months have passed since Ken Levine disbanded BioShock studio Irrational Games, but with 15 employees still remaining, the team is finally hiring again to get the ball rolling on something new.

The company’s official webpage has updated its “careers” section. Irrational Games needs a new IT Manager and a Senior Programmer with experience using Unreal Engine 3 and 4. When it was first in development, BioShock used a modified version of the Unreal Engine 2.5 and eventually 3, but Levine says that he has since left the series to Take-Two and is probably not returning to it.

Most likely these new employees will be used for a new original IP, possibly for a mobile platform or on the scale of a modern day indie game. Levine stated he was still interested in making  “narrative-driven games for the core gamer,” but we have yet to hear anything official from him since the disbanding.

What could it possibly be? Speculate away!
