LIMBO Coming to Xbox One, Available for Free for Early Adopters

Microsoft promised a free game to early adopters of the Xbox One to celebrate the console’s one year anniversary, and players are reporting that they have received a thank you note and redeem codes for Playdead’s indie hit LIMBO.

Of course, the game has not even been officially announced for the console yet, but they will be able to pick it up whenever it gets released. Consider this a surprise announcement I suppose because all we’ve heard so far is a rating from the Korean Ratings Board that it was coming.

So congratulations to early adopters of the Xbox One. If you don’t yet own LIMBO on your Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, PC, iOS or Android device, you get to play the game for free! If you already do own in, then you get to take a crack at the next-gen version before anyone else!

No official word on when this gift will be available. Just be ready for when it is.
