Never Alone an Instant Gem on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

Well, who saw this coming? A small indie game released this week with very little in the way of fanfare. It’s available now, and critics have just started posting their reviews. Never Alone has walked away with perfect scores and recommendations from several outlets, and one look at the trailer should tell you why.

Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) was actually made with collaboration from the Iñupiat, an Alaska Native people. It’s the telling of a story, yes, but it’s also the revelation of a culture. That, in and of itself, is pretty cool.

Players take on the role of Nuna as she, and her fox companion, move about the games puzzling world in order to advance the story. The title is eight chapters long, and most point towards beating it over a few days in light sessions, so don’t expect it to be a rigorous challenge.

This is clearly meant to be a beautiful game with an incredible tale, and word has it that it delivers on both fronts. We’ll be snapping this up for some coverage today, so stay tuned for more from us.

Never Alone is out now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. It’s selling for $14.99.
