HTC Sense with Android 5.0 Lollipop Looks Sweet in New Leak

Android 5.0 Lollipop is almost ready to launch on HTC’s Google Play edition devices, but what about the rest of our HTC smartphones? We’ve already seen a few alleged screenshots of Sense 7.0 running the latest version of Android, but a new leak suggests the phone-maker could have plans to bring a few Lollipop features to the current version of its Sense software as well.

The news comes from Twitter tipster @LlabTooFeR, who always seems to know what’s going on behind the scenes at HTC. Based on these screenshots it looks like Sense 6.0 may soon get a total Material Design makeover. One image reveals HTC adding Lollipop-style interactive notifications to its lockscreen. Another shows Android’s redesigned recent apps interface, which should be a huge improvement over HTC’s current multi-tasking grid layout.

Back in October, HTC said its Sense-powered smartphones should make the jump to Android 5.0 Lollipop starting early next year, and we hope it meets its deadline.
