Final Fantasy XV Gets a 10 Minute Open World Clip in HD

Yeah, Final Fantasy XV is going to be enormous.

Today we have a 10 minute “walkthrough” of the game’s open world from Square Enix of Japan. It’s in Japanese, though there isn’t much in the way of speaking to concern yourself with. That’s why I tossed “walkthrough” in quotes. The company calls it a walkthrough, but there’s no explanation of the world around the players as one would assume from the label.

We do see lots of neat stuff, though. Giant monsters in lakes, weird bull creatures charging after our heroes and even characters bending over to catch their breath after running for longer durations of time.

Aside from the odd animation glitches that pop up every now and again over the course of the work in progress demo, Final Fantasy XV looks really sharp. We’re still a long way away from release, though we know we’ll have a playable demo in public hands by March of 2015.

What do you think of the open world on display here? I really can’t wait to settle in and ride in the car for hours on end. It’s the little things, right?

Final Fantasy XV will eventually sell for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We’ll have more on the game for you as it comes, so stay tuned.
