BlackBerry fans who want their trackpad back can now pre-order the BlackBerry Classic ahead of its December debut. The device will be available in the U.S. and the U.K. initially, and it’s priced at $449 and £349 respectively.
The Classic is essentially a BlackBerry Q10 with the traditional BlackBerry-style menu keys and trackpad. It’s aimed at long-time BlackBerry users who are looking to finally make the switch to the BB10 platform, without giving up their beloved controls.
The Classic boasts a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot for expansion. Its square 3.46-inch touchscreen has a 720×720 resolution, and its camera setup consists of an 8-megapixel sensor on its back, and a 2-megapixel sensor on its front.
The Classic has 4G LTE connectivity and supports a nano-SIM card, and it ships with the latest BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system pre-installed. That means that in addition to BlackBerry World, users get the Amazon Appstore, from which they can download Android apps.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on the Classic, you can place your pre-order today via BlackBerry.com and the Canadian company will ship your handset in mid-December.
