Sprint will begin selling LG’s new G Watch R on Friday, November 14, the carrier has confirmed. The device is already available through Google Play for $300, but Sprint will let you spread the cost of the device out over a year on its Easy Pay plan.
The G Watch R is widely regarded as one of the best Android Wear watches you can buy right now. It’s up there with the Moto 360 in terms of design and build quality, and it’s a much more premium offering than LG’s original G Watch. It’s not too dissimilar internally, however.
The G Watch R packs a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and a 410mAh battery. It’s also water-resistant like the original G Watch, but its biggest advantage — apart from its high-end design — is its built-in heart rate monitor, which the G Watch doesn’t have.
The G Watch R is also compatible with almost any standard watch strap, so you can customize yours to suit you, and it will pair with any Android-powered handset running Jelly Bean or later.
If you want to pay for your G Watch R upfront, it’ll cost you $300. But if you’d prefer to spread that cost out over 12 months, Sprint will let you do so for $25 a month on its Easy Pay plan. You’ll be able to buy yours online and in Sprint stores across the U.S. starting this Friday, November 14.
